Working together

What is WhySoMotion?

WhySoMotion is a 2D motion design studio founded by Muneeb Talib. Our team makes explainer, promotional, demo, training, 2D animated, mobile app and product launch videos, plus motion graphics, for SaaS, AI, fintech and healthtech startups worldwide, with most clients in the US, UK, Australia and Germany.

What is an explainer video?

An explainer video is a short video, usually 60 to 90 seconds, that explains what a product does, the problem it solves and why it is better. Most are animated, because animation can show software and abstract ideas clearly.

How long does a project take?

Usually 3–5 weeks for a 60–90 second explainer, from approved brief to final files.

How many revisions do I get?

2 rounds of revisions at each stage (script, storyboard, animation).

Who owns the video when it’s done?

You own the final video outright. Project source files are included on request.

What files do I receive?

Final files in 16:9, 1:1, 4:5 and 9:16, plus a captioned version.

Can you work with my time zone?

We work with teams in every time zone. Book a call at a time that suits you on our booking calendar, and between calls we keep you updated in your shared channel, so time zones never slow a project down.

How much does a video cost?

A 15-second social ad starts at $450, a 15-second 2D motion graphics explainer at $500 (character animation from $700), and a 60-second explainer starts at $990. The script and visual direction (mood board, style frames and storyboard) are free with every video. Use our price calculator to estimate your video by length, style and voiceover. We confirm the final price in writing after a free 20-minute call.

Can you work from our Figma designs or brand guide?

Yes. Figma files, brand guides, logos and fonts are the best starting point. If you don’t have a brand guide, we create style frames that extend your website’s look.

Do you use AI in your videos?

We may use AI tools to speed up research or early drafts, but the script, design and animation are made by our team, and you always approve each stage. If you want AI voiceover or no AI at all, just say so.

How long should a SaaS explainer video be?

For a homepage, 60 to 90 seconds is the sweet spot: enough to show the problem, your product and one proof point. For ads, cut it down to 15 to 30 seconds. A 60-second script is usually about 140 to 160 words.

How long does it take to make?

Usually 3–5 weeks for a 60–90 second explainer, from approved brief to final files. The script and storyboard take the first half; animation, voiceover and sound take the second.

What is a 2D explainer video?

A short animated video, usually 60 to 120 seconds, that uses flat illustrated characters and scenes to explain a product, service or idea. It is the classic explainer style for stories about people and the problems they face.

What is the difference between a 2D explainer video and motion graphics?

A 2D explainer tells a story through characters and illustrated scenes. Motion graphics use animated shapes, icons, type and UI instead of characters. Many videos combine both: a character story with clean animated product moments.

What is the difference between an explainer video and a product demo video?

An explainer answers “why should I care?” for people who are new to you, in 60 to 90 seconds. A product demo answers “how does it work?” for people already comparing tools, and shows real features step by step, usually in 60 to 180 seconds.

Why animate the UI instead of screen recording it?

Animation lets us remove clutter, zoom in on what matters and keep the pace even. It also stays useful longer, because small product changes don’t make it look outdated.

What is the difference between 2D animation and motion graphics?

2D animation is the broad term for flat animation, including characters. Motion graphics is a type of 2D animation built from shapes, icons, type and UI. Most B2B explainers use motion graphics, sometimes with simple characters. If your story is about people, a 2D character explainer often works better, and we make both.

Do you do 3D?

We focus on 2D motion graphics because it fits software products best and keeps timelines short. We can add simple 2.5D depth and lighting where it helps.

Industry

AI startups

How do you explain an AI product in 60 seconds?

Pick one user and one job. Show the job the slow way, then show your product doing it: what goes in, what the AI does, and the result. End with one proof point and one call to action. Skip the technical detail unless your buyer is technical.

How do you avoid AI clichés?

No robots, glowing brains or circuit boards. We build metaphors from your actual workflow and data, so the visuals are about your product, not AI in general.

Industry

Fintech

How do you handle compliance and disclaimers?

We lock the script with your team (and your compliance or legal reviewer) before design starts, and we can add on-screen disclaimers or end cards. We are not lawyers, so final approval of claims always sits with your team.

Can you explain a complex financial product simply?

Yes. We break it into the parties involved, what each one does, and how money or data moves between them, then animate that flow step by step.

Industry

Healthtech

What is the difference between a healthtech explainer and a medical animation?

Medical animation usually shows biology, like how a drug works in the body. A healthtech explainer shows how a digital product or service works for patients, clinicians or buyers. We focus on healthtech explainers.

How do you handle patient data in product screens?

We only use fictional, realistic-looking data in any screens. No real patient information is needed or shown.

How do you explain a complex security product simply?

We pick one realistic scenario, show the threat or risk step by step, then show where your product detects, blocks or fixes it. Technical detail is added only where your buyer needs it.

Can you show our product without exposing sensitive data?

Yes. We rebuild your screens as clean animated UI with mock data, so no real logs, IP addresses or customer information appear in the video.

Industry

EdTech

Can one video speak to students and schools?

It can, but one main audience works better. We usually make one main video for your key buyer or user, then short cutdowns for the others.

Do you make onboarding and tutorial videos too?

Yes. Short how-to clips help new learners and teachers get started, and they reuse the style and assets of your main explainer.

Industry

HR tech

Who should an HR tech video speak to?

Usually the HR leader who buys. We show the time saved for their team, then the better experience for employees as the proof.

Can you make a video to roll out a tool to employees?

Yes. Internal launch videos explain what is changing, why, and how to get started, in a friendly tone that helps adoption.

Industry

Food apps

How long should a food app video be?

Usually 30 to 60 seconds for the main video, and 15 seconds or less for social ads and app store previews.

Can you make versions for restaurants and couriers too?

Yes. We plan short partner versions at the script stage so they reuse the same style and scenes.

Can you make a video for our Shopify app listing?

Yes. We make short, clear videos that show a store owner’s problem and how your app fixes it, sized for app listings, your site and social.

Do you make product videos for D2C brands?

Yes, as 2D animation and motion graphics: how a product works, what is inside, or why it is different. We don’t do live-action filming.

Can you explain a real estate investment platform?

Yes. We show how the process works step by step and keep every claim about returns or risk exactly as your team approves it.

Do you make videos for construction software?

Yes. We simplify sites, plans and teams into clean 2D visuals that show how your product keeps a project on track.

Industry

Logistics

How do you make supply chain software easy to understand?

We follow one order or shipment from start to finish on an animated map, and show what your product does at each step.

Can you make a looping video for trade shows?

Yes. We make silent, looping versions with large on-screen text for booth screens.

How do you explain blockchain to non-crypto users?

We start from the user’s problem, not the technology, and use simple visual metaphors for what the chain does. Technical terms appear only when they help.

Can you make a video for developers?

Yes. For builders we use precise language and simplified architecture, code and transaction visuals.
