Script and visual direction for context: some studios charge $200–$500 extra for the script (VideoExplainers.com, Mar 2026), and full-service studios budget about $1,000–$2,000 for scriptwriting and $500–$1,500 for storyboard and mood board (Yans Media, 2026). Ours are free with every video.

Voiceover for context: the GVAA rate guide puts a human explainer read (up to about 2 minutes) at $250–$450 (via VoxBooster, Sep 2026). AI voice generation itself costs cents per minute (ElevenLabs plans, Aug 2026); our AI voice price covers choosing the voice, timing and mixing.

Questions

How much does a 60-second explainer video cost?

With us, a 60-second 2D motion graphics explainer starts at $990. The script and visual direction are included free, and adding a professional human voiceover brings it to $1,240. Industry pricing guides put freelancers at $500–$3,000 and boutique studios at $3,000–$8,000 for the same length.

Is the script really free?

Yes. Every video includes a script written by our scriptwriter and full visual direction (mood board, style frames and storyboard) at no extra cost. Already have a script? We polish and time it, also free. Many studios charge $200–$500 or more for the script alone.

Is the calculator price final?

It is a close estimate. After a 20-minute call we confirm the final price in writing before any work starts. It only changes if the scope changes, for example a longer video or extra versions.

Why is a human voiceover more expensive than an AI voice?

A human voice actor records, edits and licenses the read for you, and can act the script with real emotion. An AI voice costs less and is quicker to change, but it usually sounds less natural on longer or emotional scripts.

What makes a video cost more?

Length, style and extras. Custom characters take longer to draw and animate than motion graphics, longer videos need more scenes, and extra versions (cutdowns, languages) and rush delivery add work.

Do you charge for revisions?

You get 2 rounds of revisions at each stage (script, storyboard and animation) at no extra cost. Approving the script and storyboard first keeps late changes small.

What if my video is longer than 2 minutes?

Longer videos, series and training libraries are quoted after a short call, because the price depends on how much can be reused across scenes.
